The Fort Worth Fire Department (FWFD) is the dedicated fire and emergency medical services (EMS) department on the FWTXRP server. As FWFD personnel, you respond to structure fires, medical emergencies, and vehicle accidents across the city, providing a critical public-safety presence alongside the Fort Worth Police Department. Because of the level of coordination and responsibility involved, FWFD is a whitelisted department — you must hold at least the Whitelisted Member rank on the server before you can join.

Responsibilities

FWFD personnel handle a wide range of emergency calls in roleplay, including:
  • Structure and vehicle fires — locating, containing, and extinguishing fires and ensuring scene safety
  • Medical emergencies — providing on-scene EMS care, triage, and transport for injured players
  • Vehicle accidents — managing crash scenes, extricating patients, and coordinating with LEO for traffic control

Radio Channels

FWFD uses dedicated voice channels to keep fire and EMS communications separate from law enforcement traffic. Use the /vc command to join the appropriate channel for your assignment. See the voice channels guide for full command syntax and all available channels.
FD personnel must always use the correct FD radio channels during active calls. Do not interfere with LEO scenes unless you have been specifically called to assist — maintain radio discipline and wait for the appropriate request before entering a law enforcement scene.
Coordination between FWFD and FWPD is critical on large-scale incidents. Use the Fire Tac (ft) channel when a major incident requires both departments to work together — this keeps cross-department communication organized and prevents radio congestion on primary channels.

How to Join FWFD

Earn the Whitelisted Member Rank

You must hold the Whitelisted Member server rank before applying to FWFD. Meet the community activity requirements and review the server ranks page to understand how to qualify.

Apply Through the Discord

Once you are a Whitelisted Member, submit your FWFD application in the official FWTXRP Discord server. Follow the instructions in the application channel exactly and wait for a response from department leadership.

Complete Department Training

After your application is accepted, you will be assigned to a department training session. Attend all required training before responding to live calls — this covers apparatus operation, radio procedures, and EMS protocols.

Follow All FWFD Regulations

Once active, you are expected to follow all FWFD regulations at all times while on duty. This includes proper uniform standards, correct radio channel usage, and professional conduct on every scene.
